Check availability Sunwise insider tip Just a few minutes' drive away you'll find 1000 Steps, one of Bonaire's most iconic dive and snorkel spots. The name is amusingly a bit misleading – it's actually about 67 steps that take you down to this idyllic little beach. This beautiful location is particularly popular with both snorkelers and divers because of the crystal-clear water and rich underwater world. The coral reef here is known for its diversity of tropical fish and is accessible for all levels. Don't forget your underwater camera! Just so you know Stairs – The studio is located on the second floor and accessible via stairs, which may be less suitable for guests with limited mobility No dishwasher – The kitchen is otherwise fully equipped, and washing dishes with a view of the tropical garden is actually quite relaxing No dryer – There's no dryer available, but thanks to the Caribbean sun and wind, your laundry will be bone dry within hours Where you'll stay Please accept preferences-cookies to view this map. Villa Valena 9 Apartment 1 1.5 2 The neighborhood Downtown Kralendijk with the boulevard, piers, sailboats and motorboats at the mooring buoys, and colorful facades: here you're right in the middle of restaurants, bars, boutiques, and the departure point for various boat trips, including sunset tours and water taxis to Klein Bonaire. Ideal for those who want everything within walking distance and enjoy strolling along the boulevard in the evenings. For divers and snorkelers, Playa is a great base due to quick access to the west coast spots; for foodies and shoppers, this is the place to be. Expect liveliness, convenience, and the shortest travel times to the amenities in Bonaire's capital: Kralendijk. Getting around Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Villa Valena 9. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port. Guest reviews 9.7/10 6 reviews More info Very good Valena 9 Liked - Modern furnishings and the harmonica sliding doors to the balcony. Disliked - Bathroom, little water comes out of the shower head. There are no hooks to hang your bath towel or clothes. Next to the bed, there is also only 1 side to hang clothes. Read more 27th Mar 2025 by Hein via Hosts were great, excellent! Upon arrival we were met by Elisa who showed us the villa and told us if we needed anything not to hesitate to call. She was great! The unit was squeeky clean, very new and comfortable, the bed was sooo comfortable. We were in #9 on the 2nd floor which provides nice views from the expansive balcony. The pool is really nice, simple design but very inviting. We walked into the main town everyday and also some nights. Sebastian's, a great waterfront restaurant, is right around the corner. Try Sunday Italian night. Divi DiveResort has a good happy hour and beach bar, good food and is super close, too. The hosts provide plenty of towels, pots and pans if you choose to cook, forks, knives, etc. plates and glassware. There is onsite washer by pool. Its very close to airport and the hosts allowed us to check out later, closer to our flight time, as the unit wasnt being rented right of way. Hosts and Elisa were great, excellent communication throughout. We would stay again. Read more 10th Mar 2025 by James via Great! Great spot, great location, would recommend!
