Villa Kromboon Villa 3 3 6 The neighborhood Santa Barbara is a quiet, green neighborhood in the east of Bonaire, known for its spacious layout and wide views. From here, you can quickly reach the beaches, dive and snorkeling spots, and the lively center of Kralendijk. The neighborhood offers plenty of privacy while the main amenities are just a short drive away. Getting around Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Villa Kromboon. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port. The villa is located on a hill, and you drive through the village, taking several small roads uphill to reach it. It's situated on a dead-end street, so it's nice and quiet. Visits from donkeys, large iguanas, and various bird species are not uncommon. The service from Sunwise was excellent, with quick responses to any questions. A great house with a very nice large kitchen with all the trimmings. Also the bedroom on the first floor was great with a very large bathroom. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms with private bathrooms as well. The outside terrace is just great with pool and views of Kralendijk and the sea. There is an excellent Internet connection with WiFi available which is necessary on Bonaire considering the cost. We can recommend this Villa as well as the beautiful spots for diving and snorkeling, but also with some excellent restaurants nearby.
