Getting around Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Seaside Apartment Seastar 302. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port. Great location with beautiful water and sunset views from the balconies! 15 minute walk along the water to get into town for dining. Central location to get to both southern and northern dive sites on the west coast. Host met us at check in to make sure we got settled in. Very responsive, even before we officially booked our stay. Also an excellent location to Dive Friends scuba centre, & with just a 10-15 minutes walk along the sea front to the town centre it is ideally located. Nice beach view. Liked the big refrigerator. The bed is comfortable. The shower is very good with warm water. Had enough towels. Cecile was very communicative. Disliked: The apartment is outdated, the oven did not work. There was one air-condition in the living room that did not work. The vent of the air-condition in the main sleeping room was broken, had to put a hanger to keep it open. The bathroom is spacious but the mirror was too far away and needed more light. I had no assigned parking space. There was construction going on by the pool, that no one told me about. Did not use the pool. The sleeping rooms are towards the main road, very noisy.
