Costa de la Luz is a spacious, single-level villa in the Laguna Marina area, offering approximately 200 m² of living space and beautiful views over the sheltered lagoon next to Kralendijk. From here, you can quickly drive to Van den Tweel supermarket (2 kilometers), the beaches of Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach (2.1 kilometers), Sebastian’s Restaurant (700 meters) and Dive Friends Chachacha dive center (1500 meters). Outside, you’ll find a private pool in the garden, surrounded by a terrace and pool deck, perfect for unwinding after an active day. Layout of the villa The villa has three bedrooms: the master bedroom with a king-size bed and two additional bedrooms, each with two single beds. There are three bathrooms, giving everyone plenty of privacy. The open-plan kitchen connects directly to the living room and veranda and is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, coffee maker, ice maker, and kettle. Costa de la Luz Villa 3 3 6 The neighborhood The artificial lagoon between Kralendijk and the airport, connected to the Caribbean Sea via channels. Around the lagoon you’ll find villas, small-scale resorts and hotels (including Ocean Breeze, Plaza Beach Resort and Water Villas Bonaire), often with private boat docks. The water is sheltered and calm – perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding and relaxed waterfront living – with a direct boating connection to the open sea and the dive sites along the west coast. Getting around Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Costa de la Luz. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port. Great view of the water and surrounding houses, with plenty of privacy. The airport is nearby, but we weren’t bothered at all by the few planes that arrive and depart each day. As a family of 4 with two teens, the design was perfect. AC rooms if needed for sleeping, doors open, breeze blowing when enjoying the patio/pool etc. The simplicity of the design makes for carefree living. There wasn't a thing we wished we had. Elyse was wonderful, meeting us upon arrival and there to say goodbye. We used the dock as a pick up point for a fishing adventure...easy. Our only "surprise" was the street gate closed after 10pm so we just parked our rental outside on the side of the road and our key let us pass into the lane. The smallest of problems to say the least. Would highly recommend Sunwise and this property. We will be back. The three bedrooms are spacious and all have comfortable bathrooms. The living room and kitchen are also fully equipped. Nice for example that there is a Nespresso machine and that the fridge has an ice machine. The whole house is very tastefully decorated with high-quality materials. The terrace with swimming pool is lovely, with plenty of opportunities to sit or lie down. The location is also perfect, quiet, but also very central for Kralendijk and wind and kite surfing. We are also satisfied with Sunwise's service. For example, we had a wifi error and it was quickly fixed. We highly recommend this villa! It's only a 5 minute drive to the center of Kralendijk, so it's also doable on foot. The Villa has a great ambiance and is well-equipped (charcoal barbecue available), great even for self-catering. The house was perfect for us as a family (with two almost grown ups) to spend our xmas holidays here. Everything was as expected or even better, Jeroen was a great host, easy to get to the place. Within a 10 minute drive you find beautiful beaches, great restaurants and dive spots. But the house, the pool and the lounge area are so nice, that it is difficult to decide if you want to go outside at all. We had an absolutely astonishing week and we will definitely come back!!! Too bad there is no air conditioning in kitchen/living area. Air conditioning in bedrooms was nice. Unfortunately the dishwasher was already broken on arrival and was not replaced during our rental period. Nice that we could leave the suitcases at the location on the last day because our flight did not leave until 9:25 pm. At least Jeroen from Sunwise was very helpful. Beautiful bedrooms with lovely beds and each with its own luxurious bathroom. Get out of bed in the morning and take a dip in your pool and enjoy the beautiful view. Then you do not want to go home ;-). Great location! Restaurants, beach and supermarket less than 3 minutes away. And what the kids found very important is that the Wifi was super. We would love to book with Sunwise again, very friendly and good service! And this house is on our wish list to go back to again.
