General description Ocean Breeze Ocean Blue is a modern apartment located in the Ocean Breeze Resort on the Laguna Marina, the artificial lagoon between Kralendijk and the airport that connects to the Caribbean Sea via channels. This 65 m² apartment on the second floor offers a beautiful view over the lagoon. The accommodation is located 650 meters from dive center Dive Friends Port Bonaire, 800 meters from Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach, 1.6 kilometers from Sebastian’s Restaurant, and 2.2 kilometers from Van den Tweel supermarket. Guests have access to the regular communal swimming pool of the resort. Layout of the apartment The apartment has one comfortable bedroom with air conditioning and one complete bathroom. This 5,600-hectare nature reserve covers almost a quarter of Bonaire and offers various routes through diverse landscapes. The long route leads along picturesque coastal points like Playa Chikitu, Boka Kokolishi, and Wayaka, while the short route goes through the interior to Brandaris, Bonaire's highest point at 241 meters elevation. Around the lagoon are villas, small-scale resorts and hotels (including Ocean Breeze, Plaza Beach Resort and Water Villas Bonaire), often with private docks. The water is sheltered and calm – perfect for kayaking, stand-up paddling and relaxed waterfront living – with direct sailing connection to the open sea and dive spots along the west coast. Getting around Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Ocean Breeze Ocean Blue. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.
