General description Casa Leeward is a 180 m² villa, part of the Water Villas Bonaire complex in the Kralendijk neighborhood. The property has four bedrooms and four bathrooms and accommodates up to eight guests. The Van den Tweel supermarket is 2.1 kilometers away, Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach are 1.2 kilometers away, Sebastian’s Restaurant is 1.4 kilometers away, and dive center Dive Friends Port Bonaire is 1.1 kilometers away. The private pool is exclusively available to guests of Casa Leeward. Layout of the villa The villa offers four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 each feature a comfortable king-size bed; bedroom 3 and bedroom 4 each have two single beds. Perfect for guests who want everything within walking distance and love an evening stroll along the boulevard. For divers and snorkelers, this is an excellent base thanks to the quick access to the west coast dive sites; for foodies and shoppers, this is simply the place to be. Getting around Although Casa Leeward is centrally located in Kralendijk and many things are reachable on foot, a rental car is still a must on Bonaire to truly explore the island. With your own vehicle, every corner of Bonaire is within reach at your own pace – from secluded snorkel spots along the west coast to local restaurants in Rincon. We recommend that all guests rent a car to make the most of everything the island has to offer. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for natural areas such as Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is strongly recommended, as the roads inside the park are unpaved and can be quite rugged. We had a wonderful stay at Casa Leeward! Our host Marissa was friendly, responded quickly, and was flexible. The communication regarding the rental was also excellent: clear, flexible, and I always received a quick response. The children made the most of the swimming pool, which was fantastic. The house, with its four wonderfully large, spacious air-conditioned bedrooms, and not to forget its central location, was perfect for this holiday. Highly recommended! It is located very close to the airport and a great spot to head north or south for a day of diving. A small pool is there to come back to after your dives. As you pull into the gated driveway, unload your gear right into the rinse tank, jump in the pool to relax, and have a dinner on the secluded veranda. The 4 bedrooms are spacious and each has its own shower. A full kitchen awaits for those who decide to dine in. Plenty of towels are there for everyone. The outside plantings are pleasing and some attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Expect a visit from the local iguanas and earred doves. Only regarding the equipment of the house, a washing machine was really missing and two toilet lits were broken or just did not fit the toilet. Overall we really liked our stay tho (and would come back). The communication with Sunwise was also very good and everything worked perfectly with them. We really enjoyed the pool for cooling off and the large, covered, outdoor patio space. The large fridge was appreciated for our group of 6. The stairs to the second floor could be a challenge for young children or elderly, but worked great for us. Sunwise had excellent communication and support before, during and after our stay.
