This spot is known as an easy entry into the clear water on the island’s west coast, perfect for a quick swim or some relaxed snorkeling along the quay. From here you overlook the bay with moored sail and motor boats and often see the water taxis heading out to Klein Bonaire, giving the area a lively, very typical Bonaire atmosphere. Just so you know Shared garden and outdoor areas – The garden and pool deck are shared with other guests, which creates a friendly, relaxed atmosphere around the building. No dryer – There is no tumble dryer, but on Bonaire your laundry usually dries very quickly outside thanks to the sun and breeze. No BBQ – Barbecuing is not possible here, but along the boulevard and in Kralendijk you’ll find plenty of restaurants for great dinners out. For divers and snorkelers, the Playa area is a great base thanks to quick access to west coast sites; for foodies and shoppers this is the place to be. Expect liveliness, convenience and the shortest travel times to facilities in Bonaire’s main town, Kralendijk. Getting around Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Bonaire Beach Apartments 14. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable.
